I pity the people who cast absentee ballots. Our polling place is a local church. We vote, catch up with neighbors, browse the bake sale and annual bazaar, and come away the better for it. Today I scored some vintage Tupperware, an antique(ish) cider bottle, and a fantastic cherry crumb.
For me, democracy is an enjoyable part of small town life. And Freedom smells a lot like pie.
