You know all those bloggers that post photos of their awesomely decorated and oh-so-perfect organized homes and lives?
I am not one of those bloggers. I am the blogger who would like to share with you real life, c. 2011, in a 100+ year old house currently taken hostage by love beads, peace signs, and the wild tornado that is an 11 year old girl getting ready for a dance.
I like to imagine my house has a heart - and memories. I imagine it thinking hmm... I know I've seen that Peace sign somewhere before ... Probably about forty years ago along with the happy mess of the families it has sheltered for generations.

House Beautiful, eat your heart out. I wouldn't miss this for the world.

This reminds me of my girls rooms. We always spent so much time decorating their rooms is such wild colors...they would choose their favorite colors and away we would go. What great times they were but now they are almost grown....I am so sad. Enjoy you time with your kids! Dianntha
i really like your comment about your house having a heart, that is so true and it sounds like you are giving your daughter good memories and here room is cool. i like to color and the fact you let her do what she wants with it. i have two sons and aways wanted a daughter, have 1 brohter and wanted a sister. so i make do with friends. you are blessed
great post!
Pssssst...wanna know a secret...I stage my living areas before photos...Most of the time they are covered by piles of laundry, sippy mugs and MOUNTAINS of toys...
Thank goodness the older one moved out of home already...her room is now the only "finished and tidy" room in the house lol.
Blessings Kelsie
PS: Hope she had fun at the dance
